It is true that hard work pays off, but now I'm wondering is it was worth it. I haven't been seen in public for months, simply because I've been working so much.

But, I've gotten a tidy little Christmas bonus in the mail from work last week. Fifteen hundred is so worth it.

With that bonus and the money I had already saved up I bought myself a nice little motorcycle, with about a thousand dollars to spare. The bike isn't anything special, just a used Honda Nighthawk, but it's going to save me the trouble of taking that frigging train to work. I'm in a pretty good mood, despite how tired I am.

I need coffee.

It's come to my attention that all surgeons have a god complex. I hate working with them.

I finally have a day off. I think I'll spend half of it sleeping and the other half in a bar. If anyone's up for a drink, I'll buy the first round.
